So we've reached a MASSIVE milestone in 1000 subs.  It may not seem that big, but in YouTube terms, it means we can start using the channel more effectively and are granted more privileges.  Now we're at 1000, we can even monetise it once we reach 4500 watch hours in 365 days.  That basically means that the adverts you see on YouTube that they get paid for, they'll have to share some of that wonga with us!

Check out our header video on our site, but without distractions:

In order for us to hit that next milestone, though, we need views, and lots of them.  If you haven't already, please do subscribe (the more, the better), and drop the videos a like and a comment.  That tells YouTube's algorithm that the videos are worth pushing, and the more we get pushed, the more views we'll get.  You can also help us cheat the system a little by watching them in the background while you do something else - just turn down the volume and ignore them while doing chores, editing or having a poo! - That's about the level of humour here, sorry!  You can however start by watching all these in this here blog as they are shared directly from YouTube!

However!  There are videos worth watching too, of course... I hope.  If nothing else, those who are new to Splash Point will find the tour Videos very useful in understanding what we can offer

Here's a silly one in the style of MTV | Cribs with a little cringe humour:

It's mostly a blank canvas tour of the studio, showing it without anything lit up, so if you're more in to atmosphere and with more BTS and lingerie scattered throughout, then you can check out the 'After Dark' tour too.  Both are worth a watch as they contain separate information and visuals as to what Splash Point Photo can deliver  Photographers and Models.

Splash Point Photo Photography Studio Tour | After Dark:

As a result of being a big fan of YouTube myself (I barely watch TV, I watch mostly YouTube), I've been trying harder to ramp up some Photography related content to grow the channel and keep it progressing.  I've been having fun playing with silly ideas alongside all the usual behind the scenes content from our photography studio model days, and I'm always looking for new ways to keep it fresh and to help the channel find its direction. Quite frankly, outside of posting Splash Point Photo related shoots, I don't know what works, and I'm just hoping that as I put the pieces of the puzzle together, I'll eventually complete the Jigsaw!  So if you fancy coming along for that ride, do subscribe and get involved!

I've done things like critique videos:

There's little fun YouTube shorts.. or not fun I guess - it depends on how easily offended you are, especially if you don't understand the family guy reference!

There's also invaluable little snippets of important studio photography information for new photographers - I'm definitely looking to explore this type of content more, so I don't have to speak and can go back to being an introvert!

There's a blog read which acts as an introduction to my other photography blog on Patreon.  That one is paid, but it's twice-weekly at the moment, and it only costs the price of a coffee each month!  Don't underestimate how much it helps, though!  There, I get to share images that haven't been seen in years, stuff that I shot long before Splash Point existed!  Plus it's all uncensored in a manner that Social Media doesn't allow.

If you watch all those videos alone in the background of whatever you're about to do for the next two hours, you will be doing me a massive favour.. just come back and do it again tomorrow :)
