Do you really want to get inside my mind?  How I see the industry? What I was thinking when coming up with various ideas and the realities of shooting them?  Then you need to join me on Patreon!

For the price of a posh coffee each month, you can support me on Patreon, or just linger for the free content - which is mainly old travel blogs that I'm slowly moving over from other sites that became a chore to blog on.

However, the weekly action is hidden behind the very first tier where I post twice a week. One post is a book club of sorts that focuses on my extensive coffee table book collection of photography, and where I chat about the book and hopefully introduce it to a new audience.  Some however are now discontinued and are collector pieces, only available on the secondhand market, if at all.

The second is a place where I can host all my edited images from any given shoot - but uncensored.

Basically, on social media I can't post uncensored NSFW images, and on portfolio sites - or even this personal website - it doesn't make sense to share an entire shoot.  On Patreon I can, and it does!  I write them in the style of blog (although Patreon reformatted with an update that messed up the continuity of the images on some, but made the blogging experience better in the long run) and I also talk about the shoot and any philosophical rambling it inspires.  Basically, if I've shot it, and it's worth seeing, talking about, or offers photography advice and tips, it'll be on Patreon.. or soon will be!

There are currently 96 blogs in the 'shoot stories' category - and that's assuming I've remembered to put them in a category!  Most take hours to write due to my dyslexic failings, and they don't pay a wage anywhere near the amount of effort that is required to do them.  But hey, one of the things that I love doing alongside exploring photography visuals, is exploring the philosophy and psychology behind them, too. Because of that, I consider it a hobby that pays some pocket money that is useful to withdraw during a rainy day.  It's therapy too!  You can never know yourself too well, especially when shaping what you love about your work, so to address it weekly, be repetitive, and see how you've grown and what not, it is a healthy practice!

Currently, the book club has 57 posts - again, I've probably failed to put some of them in the category along the way, especially while Patreon tweaks and twiddles by introducing new features that change things, which in turn then catch you out.. but they're there!  You may be asking, however, "if you post one a week like your shoot stories, why aren't there more!?"  And that's a mighty fine question, and one that can be answered by more than my poor filing skills.  Basically, if I have a shoot that is racking up the numbers of images and is into essay territory and thousands in terms of a word count, if there's a natural break in it where the set and concept changes, or it's just too much, I'll break it up in to parts and sacrifice the book club, so that people aren't getting weeks straight of just a single shoot.  I figure most people are there for the nudes and rambles anyways!

If this sounds like something you fancy, join me on Patreon, because it gets more action than this site - my hosts here want too much money for extra bandwidth to post weekly here!
